Bird Refuge
It is sunrise or sunset
at the Andrée Clark Bird Refuge.
The clouds are all lit from behind
by the sun coming up or going down.
The water has a wide ribbon of light
from the hill to the very edge
of the lake. One could dream
of a future filled with wings.
